Silat
Silat is a form of martial arts that was invented by Malaysians. This was because Malaysia was prone to invasions, which often left people brutalized. The Malaysians therefore started Silat with the aim of beating the crap out of invaders. In fact, they incorporated some techniques that they learned from their attackers into this form of martial arts.
While, other forms of martial arts aim at enhancing self-discipline and enlightening a learner spiritually, Silat does not consider this. This style of fighting involves beating the hell out of someone by attacking them with strong blows on the face, kidney or throat, at a lightning speed. By doing so, you take advantage of your opponent’s weaknesses and win a dirty fight in seconds.
Students who learn Silat go through intense training. To learn endurance, learners have their counterparts bent iron bars around their necks or break bricks on their ribs. As the training intensifies, the techniques become even more rough. For instance, the brutal Silat version that is taught in the jungle is far much worse. You learn to fight in the bush and your master beats the crap out of you while training.
